Thoughts about a 'real' Lee solo record.
Just stumbled across this, Lee talking about his three favourite albums of the last decade, being Dylan, Cat Power and Bill Calahan. Made me think about what different forms a Lee solo LP could take, and had the beautiful thought of giving him a small string section and seeing what happened. Songs like Wish Fulfillment would be amazing with a cello and a few other embellishments, imagine an album of them... propably have to keep imagining, but oh well...

It would entirely depend on how he'd go about incorporating the cello or such into the songs... cause that idea does sound sort of cliche.

i have waited for a proper song-filled lee solo record for sooooo long.

ditto. but at the same time, i don't want him to stop doing the noisy spoken word stuff either. |

this is why jeenthebenn gets the sonic cock hard |
i'm sure he's just brainstorming a bunch of ideas or taking his time. i'd rather wait than have him rush out a real album..

whatever he comes up with, i'm sure it'll be good

I like all of Lee's solo material, but the thought of a singer-songwriter style Lee album is great.
I do believe he has been working on something of this nature. |
If an album is delayed but good, people will forget it was ever delayed and will always remember it was good. But if an album is rushed and bad, it is bad forever.
