Paranoia
 

I mean full-blown, delusional paranoia. The kind where you think weird things are happening to you. I thought of it because of a note in a John Cale cd to the city of New York saying thanks for making us paranoid enough to work. Any ideas on what this means?

I know paranoia, integral part of my life. Drugs helps. And strangely also listening to SY.

I was hoping this thread would be about The Kinks.

Yeah, it was one of the last good Kinks songs.

Because working was the only thing to take his mind off his paranoia that was amplified by the city as well as his own inner demons. At least that's what it said on the Lipton Tea bag.....

I call it extreme awareness.

paranoia it's good. you can do a lot of things with this state of mind, yeah only when you know that's a state of mind.

well, i suppose you haven't experienced real paranoia.
you might even suspect it's only a state of mind but you can't do much about it, 4 years later you look back and cringe.

you people should listen to this woman.

Paranoia; as much as it sucks, it's kept me out of a lot of trouble.
