So is Mark a full member now?
 

I was never really clear on this. I hope he is. Also, did he play on all of the Eternal or just on some songs?

As of their 2009 album The Eternal, he is a full participating member of the band.


So, I guess he'd be considered a full member then.

I'm assuming he played on most of the album, probably not all.

So next album he'll hopefully play on the whole thing.

I want Jim back.

jim and mark and kim and thurston and lee and steve play nycgf. right after nurse. in a small club.

he plays bass on all eternal tracks. kim plays guitar on all but 'sacred trickster'.

i do not want Jim back if it means more albums of sleepy-snooze "rock"

maybe mark is a full member...pavement gonna break and kim nowdays loves to play guitar.

Wait, are you saying you didn't like the albums Jim was on? Nurse is one of their best and my second fav of theirs. But I guess the music was more relaxed. But it was still awesome.

I'm not a huge Nurse fan, but Murray Street rules, one of their best. Washing Machine, A Thousand Leaves, NYC Ghost, and Murray... 4 amazing albums in a row.

Murray Street is the best album of O'Rourke's tenure with the band. The last truly great Sonic Youth album as well in my mind.

Mark's a pretty cool addition though. If I had to pick any member of Pavement to be in the band, it'd be him.

but Murray Street is half sleep half good, the sleepy parts really bore me

NYC Ghosts and Flowers I never spin, because I am never in the mood for a poetry reading

and Washing machine is severely uneven.
