Faith schools and the teaching of evolution
Short of time so I'll make this quick.
UK boardies, email your MP: http://www.humanism.org.uk/campaigns...g-of-Evolution |

This is a bit worrying. Have you emailed your MP? |
I have. But then I'm always emailing her. She's such an odious woman I relish the thought of her groaning when she sees another email with my name on it.
I figure that if I can keep her busy writing replies to my emails then I can distract her from doing her part in screwing up the country. |
I'm not sure what to think of that. If it's kept within the confines of faith-based schools (and I can't think of any other schools that would adopt it) then I'm not too bothered. I expect a Christian bias in a Catholic school, just as I would an Islamic bias in a muslim school. For me, it's a simple case that if parents don't want their kid indoctrinated with religion, don't send them to a faith-based school. Of course, if creationism started seeping into secular schools (a contradiction in terms, surely) that would be a problem, but why would they?

seems like a bit of a storm in a tea cup

Vince Cable is my MP, he's too busy looking like a ghost from the universe of frustration to worry about this
