Flower - Corsano dvdr on Taping Policies

Taping Policies will be releasing a live dvd-r of the Flower - Corsano duo entitled 'Live at Scheldapen' probably due in September 2010.
Recorded in August 2009 in Antwerp with one camera, the video shows the interaction between both players as well as their freedom within their own spaces. Thanks to the resurface of some new recordings this project was made possible after being in my vault for almost a year now.

I'm really happy to finally be able to release this ...

Here's the artwork for the dvd-r release.
Hopefully I"ll have it released this month. If not, it should be available at the Flower - Corsano duo concert in Utrecht, Netherlands on the 9th of October.

Can’t think of many players that have such an intrinsic physical/performance aspect as the mighty Flower-Corsano Duo so it’s a blast to score this professionally-filmed black and white concert movie from Antwerp in August 2009. The camera gets really up-close and inside Corsano’s kit so you can fully appreciate the speed-of-thought precision and alla the varied strategies he brings to the skins. Flower is on particularly wailing form, just tearing it up, and when the two levitate into the air together there’s simply nothing like it. Multi-region DVD, edition of 200 copies. 39mins 49 secs. Highly recommended.

the gig yesterday was stunning.

It was the fourth time I saw Corsano and also the best one.
