Everyone, who have Made In Usa -vinyl?
My Made In Usa -vinyl have a little tremble in sound all through the album. Maybe there has gone something wrong with the pressing. I have heard that coloured or picture vinyls may have some sound problems, but there´s nothing in sound quality in blue experimental jet set -vinyl or thurston picture vinyl or any else of my special vinyls. I can live with that tremble, I am just curious do every Made In Usa vinyl got this tremble or is it only in mine?

it's on mine too, though i'd describe it more as a rumble. i assume we're probably talking about the same thing though...?
|
my clear vinyl of it has a tremble, but it only is noticeable if I play it on a very nice system. On my turntable it sounds fine.

Yes, I think we all are talking about same think. So I believe this little tremble or rumble is in every copy of "Made In USA". I also think it`s not bad, it even fit the music! And very soon you don`t even notice it.

having been compelled to listen to it again, i will say that it sounds much less like a rumble than i recalled. :p it's more of like a consistent whirring scratchiness..? you seem much more tolerant of it than i am though!
the music sounds GREAT and i know i'd listen to this way more often if that audio imperfection didn't run thru the entire album! :( since it is, you know, the greatest album of all time. |
It may be a by-product of the clear "vinyl"
most colored vinyl is not polyvinyl but just standard plastic. It can cause sonic imperfections galore. |
I wonder has storing it in that horrible 'plastic' bag affected it? I hear some of those sleeves can leave your vinyl with sound defects. I've been seriously thinking about going through all my picture discs and 7-inchers and stripping them of such sleeves.
It's time Made In USA was reissued with better packaging anyway. |
