Ah. The Clinic band. They are a good band. They don't perform in surgeons masks any more, more is the shame.

I swear blind that they would bring super tension inducing mega heaters to their early gigs. I don't remember dancing, but I remember being unbelievably sweaty at their gigs. Tragically, I never got round to buying the second album.

Same era as Ten Benson, who I liked at the time. And continue to, in a sort of half-assed fashion.

Yeah Ten Benson were another band that i enjoyed in the kind of 'I like you,ill see you later' kind of fashion.

Yeah. That guy at the party that you chat to, enjoy the company of, but ultimately spend more of the night trying and failing to fuck the Shaggs while also trying to fuck The Fall who leaves with Keiji Haino after chatting in the kitchen for 2 minutes. Meanwhile, Ten Benson has gone home and you're left with The Doors or, if you've consumed enough, end up leaving with Frank Zappa.

i always want to compare clinic to radiohead for some reason. If I did:

clinic > radiohead

Distortions is a wonderful song.

yes it is, but one thing bothers me about that song, the lyrics are a rip off of VU's 'candy says'. The line from VU is "I'd like to know completely what others so discreetly talk about". This also appears in clinic's song word for word. Also the line from 'candy says' "Ive come to hate my body", is sang by clinic as " I want to know my body".

I picked this up when first listening to "distortions", I subconsiously started singing aloud the first line of distortions word for word, because I remembered 'candy says'.

I believe that Thom Yorke is a fan of Clinic actually. I'm almost certain that they opened for Radiohead at some stage.
