New Electro Harmonix pedal line coming out

This is the only pic i could find unfortunately:

New Electro-Harmonix Pedals Apparently Electro-Harmonix didn't get the memo that everything is supposed to be bigger in Texas. The Nano line of pedals takes all of the classic EHX effects and puts them into smaller size boxes, perfect for cramped pedalboards. Included with the Nano series includes the reissues of the LPB-1 linear power booster and the Switchblade channel switcher pedals, retro-fit in smaller, pedalboard friendly casing. Aside from the Nano series, Electro-Harmonix also added new pedals to their Micro line, taking the same effects found in bigger boxes, but cramming them into smaller boxes. The new Hum Debugger pedal takes care of all those those unwanted buzzings and ground loops, allowing for both normal and strong thresholds to squash obtrusive noise. Big thinking, small boxes.
  • Nano Line:
    • Nano Bassballs (twin envelope filter)
    • Nano Clone (chorus effect)
    • Nano Small Stone (phase shifter)
    • Nano Muff (overdrive)
    • Nano Dr. Q (envelope funk)
    • Nano Switchblade (channel switcher)
    • Nano LPB-1 (power booster)
    • Nano Pocket Metal Muff (metal distortion)
  • Micro Line:
    • Micro Q-Tron (envelope filter)
    • Micro Stereo Pulsar (stereo tremolo)
    • Micro Metal Muff (metal distortion)
    • Micro Clone Theory (stereo chorus)
  • New Line:
    • Stereo Polyphase
    • Hum Debugger (hum eliminator)

Thanks, Chout. I want a Dr. Q.

kingcoffee 07.16.2006 02:49 PM

Fuck yeah!!! I love EH pedals, but my only problem with them is that they are so big! I've been DIEING to get a EH Pulsar tremolo for quite some time. I think it's really the best soundng and diverse tremolo pedal for such a moderate price. I was never able to get one before because it wouldnt fit on my pedal board. But now with this new line of smaller EH pedals, I'll pick one up as soon as I get the cash. Fuck yeah.

When are the new lines coming out? I want to be the first one in line for them.

CHOUT 07.16.2006 03:09 PM

This is info from the summer NAMM show that is happening right now. There's usually a little delay before they come out.

kingcoffee 07.16.2006 03:39 PM

Damn! I want them now! I'm so fucking impatient. But I can't know that something so cool is going to come out so soon and know about it. It's like waiting for christmas.

CHOUT 07.17.2006 02:12 AM

Yeah, they are looking quite appealing to me too...I have too many already though!!!

CHOUT 07.17.2006 02:14 AM

The Polyphase reissue should be way cool. I love my Polychorus.

acousticrock87 07.17.2006 02:14 AM

Psh. If that's your problem, I can hold your old ones. You know, to save space and whatnot.

CHOUT 07.17.2006 02:15 AM

Haha thanks for the offer, but...

finding nobody 07.17.2006 02:47 AM

the big muff pi was supossed to be a badass distortion pedal.

CHOUT 07.17.2006 03:40 AM

I bought the new EH Little Big Muff shortly after speaking to Kurt, the guitarist from J Mascis' side project Witch. He said it sounded practically the exact same as the full sized NYC reissue and damn, he was right! It sounds great. It's not quite as good as the full sized NYC reissue, but it gets so close that it doesn't really matter. Great tone and such a fuzzy, distorted sound that it makes me use it in everything I play. I almost never play anything clean anymore. It's always a fuzz box.

I am so glad to see they finally figured out that those huge cases are kind of a pain to deal with.

Yep...that would be cool if they could resize the bigger sized memory mans, frequency analyzers, polychoruses etc also...there's a certain charm to their look, but they are so bulky.

I was considering one of these eventually, but Ill have to look into the even newer ones first. Someone said the lil big muff doesnt have as much output as the bigger ones. I don't mind, just as long as you can crank it higher than your dry guitar signal. How's the output on yours?

GeneticKiss 07.17.2006 09:34 PM

Hmm, I kinda like the "giantness" of EH pedals, but then again I don't have a whole lot of pedals (I have a Russian Big Muff Pi, a Small Clone, and an Ibanez FL9 flanger reissue, and that's it, though down the road I wanna get a MoogerFooger MuRF), and right now I'm not gigging.

My friend is totally GASsing for a MuRF. We tried one last week. Finally found a store in our area that carries all the MoogerFooger pedals...gonna buy an expression pedal for my Moog Ring Mod there soon!

Cantankerous 07.17.2006 11:49 PM
