i found one site that touts snuff as a nearly completely safe alternative to smoking. it does site a case were a guy put snuff in his left ear for 42 years and got cancer. but other than that it says its fine.
is snuff really all that bad for you? is it just down to fashion that it isnt touted as an alternative to smoking?
i took a few really large blasts the first time i was on it and the rush was pretty intense, but not in a bad way like coke or something would be.
i can see this stuff being very useful in getting off smoking, which unfortunately i got back on recently after about 4 months.

I smoked for ten years. I quit twice, once for 14 months, started up again for two years, and then I quit again and its been over 3 years. The first time was literally hell, every SINGLE day was a struggle, was a battle, a battle which I was only technically winning for not smoking, because the hell inside truly felt like I was losing..
when I quit the second time i was smarter, the first time I went pure force of will, utter cold turkey, like jumping into the pool and embracing the cold, no dipping your toes bullshit, and it was of course a disaster!
The second time I quit, I did it gradually. I acclimated myself to a life without cigarettes in a gradual way, not the step down with those patches or other nicotine products, but rather teaching myself to cope without as many cigarettes, a sincere cutting back. Over a period of 6-8 months I cut backs so much that finally I was ready to quit. I had gotten used to not owning or having my own cigarettes by this time, I was only smoking when it was convenient, when other people were smoking around me and had spare cigarettes ( btw, I would buy these singles from my friends so they could never say I was just bumming it all the time) For me it worked! I got used to not having to have a pack of cigarettes in my pocket like my comforting blanket cling to or pacifier to chew on.
If you are interesting in snuff to quit smoking DONT do it! Converting your tobacco habit from one medium to another is not quitting by any definition, and snuff is MORE dangerous than smoking, because its not the smoke that is inherently dangerous and carcinogenic, it is the plant itself! That is why dipping, chewing and snuff have HIGHER cancer rates and develop the disease much quicker and to a more disabling degree..
DONT DO THAT SHIT!
fuck it, I say smoke em if ya got em is much better for you..
