HNW Blog
http://harshnoisewall.blogspot.com/
For those of you who've been wondering - Who is archiving all this HNW stuff that's getting the kids excited? Here's your answer! In spite of the fact that all of the rhetoric surround HNW is utter horseshit, I find the music itself quite relaxing. If I'd put out some of my experiments when I was about 14, I'd be a legend of HNW by now. So I'm quite glad I didn't, really. Edit: Ooh, wrong forum. Where's a mod when you need one? |
I'm quite a harsh noise legend myself.
Nobody has heard my work, except myself, and eventually my neighbours (but I think they didn't get the legendary aspect of it) |
Just harsh noise? That's a bit 2007, isn't it?
BRING THE WALL. |
this is a bit confusing Glitch, would you care to share some insights?
|
it's harsh noise wall.
literally harsh noise... that is a wall... of sound... |
Yep. It's kind of great - music where nothing happens. I mean, there seems to be a lot of it, but there's a fair bit of variation... if you listen to enough of it...
I don't know. It's definitely very silly, but I find it quite relaxing to listen to. Hour long sounds of immolating hoovers. What's not to like? |
That's harsh.
|
there's a harsh noise wall forum that's super elitist. it's private and you have to be approved to join. if you post normal harsh noise then you're banned, ONLY harsh noise wall.

I think HNW interviews have replaced BM in the unintentionally-hilarious stakes. |
"I often wear a masks & disguise when I make walls now (even if most often my face skin is enough mask) one of my favorerts is a womans black dress, & a shawl I put on my head _________ like a Spider Transvestite."
|
" Pretty soon Vomir climbs on stage, faces away from the small, but curious audience, pressers a few buttons on his equipment then dons his own black plastic bag & stands completely still for the next 18 mintues of his set. There’s something deeply sad and emotional about his posture that almost brings tears to my eyes, and the wall of thick and unrelenting HNW that is emitted from the PA’s speakers seems to enhance and deepen this melancholic yet other worldly feel. "
I assume this is the forum Derek's talking about; not many members, lots of bitching about bad labels. Bless them. |
Yep, that's what I'm talking about.
And I'm not a member there sadly. |
I like harshnoise-stuff.
