The notion of a 'hipster' is one entirely devised by the internet. I've said this in several threads but you can probably point out 'hipster' attributes to everyone posting here. And yes, people that use the term in a derogatory usage are probably 'hipsters' themselves that have to put down other people to hide the fact that their whole personality, self-esteem and taste is a lie.

The difference between a hipster (you lot) and someone who's hip (me) is pretty obvious. Though I obviously couldn't explain that to you hipsters.
