Cantankerous 08.04.2006 04:43 AM

you're rasing my devil spawn.

jon boy 08.04.2006 04:43 AM

one of the worst bands to ever exist. make it go away dad please.

Glice 08.04.2006 04:52 AM

Lost promise, but a couple of great tunes. See also - Fishcerspooner & Ultrasound and not, by any means ever, Terris.

porkmarras 08.04.2006 04:55 AM

Terris and Rialto are a no no.Fisherspooner i really like a tune of theirs but i can't remember what it's called.Gay Dad had only 'From earth with love' that could possibly redeem the pile of rubbish that was in the can.

Glice 08.04.2006 04:57 AM

Rialto, oh yes. They were like Gene (who I like) mixed with Patrick Duff's band (whose name escapes me entirely, strangely), but rubbish.

porkmarras 08.04.2006 05:00 AM

Rialto and Gene are a no no for me but i once found myself hunting down all their singles for a friend back home.I'll let you in on a secret...........

*whispers into Glice's ear*

''The basement of Music Exchange's main shop in Notting hill Gate has loads of britpop singles at filthy cheap prices.Booo!''

Glice 08.04.2006 05:03 AM

*Listening Intently*

NO!! I'm appaled. That's totally shocking.

There's is a reasonable amount of them about if you need to find them...

porkmarras 08.04.2006 05:07 AM

Oh yes.Charity shops are sometimes priceless for finding good records(i think we have been before on this subject). The entire history of british music lies inside those bins(kind of).

porkmarras 08.04.2006 05:10 AM

Iain 08.04.2006 05:36 AM

Didn't Rialto have two drummers or something absurd like that?

porkmarras 08.04.2006 05:40 AM

Yeah they did.And the singer was shagging one of the Elastica's girls(Donna?)

Toilet & Bowels 08.04.2006 06:53 AM

Yes that was his name and he's a funny chap. You are obviously just being contrary when you say that Gene were better than the Smiths!

kingcoffee 08.04.2006 02:42 PM

I never knew anyone who had a gay dad.

Toilet & Bowels 08.04.2006 07:01 PM

i'm not being contrary, i don't care for the smiths at all, but i quite liked gene at the time, not enought to buy a record mind, but more than i ever liked the smiths. they kind of reminded me of the smiths though, that's why i'm saying that. i haven't heard a gene song in almost 10 years though.

Someone once compared Skye Klad to Gay Dad.

I was profoundly disturbed.
