Those crazy limeys, "taking a piss" means to drink/get drunk, but to us yanks it means going pee. I heard that this saying might have originated from the siberian shaman act of giving people their pee to drink after the shaman have eaten amanita muscaria. The people could get the same hallucinogenic effects of eating amanita muscaria and none of the negative effects caused by eating it, by drinking the shamans's pee. And that is why "taking a piss" is associated with urine and intoxication.

Actually,taking a piss in England means going for a pee.Getting pissed means getting drunk and being pissed off means being angry.

taking the piss, however, is another game all together, and one i'm very good at it seems.

I remember this one song by an english band, the chorus was "pissing the night away" I don't think they were talking about pee
