by dark i mean the color of hair that grows out of my head, which is very very dark brown but you can't tell unless it's in direct light. i don't want to dye my hair black and have it turn out like poor truncy's.

i meant my insistance because you as a blonde will draw people off on who you really are.

i went through plenty of colors,. then decided back to my natural almost black hair. but now i miss my days of bright orange

I second that. Besides, it suits you better.

And why are you opposed to black? I think it looks quite good on you. And, to alleviate any potential worries, the accidental (for the record, I didn't ask for black) black dye job has begun to lose its creepy unnatural bluish hue, and doesn't look half bad now. So really, you're safest going dark, as you can't really fuck that up.
