no no no, its all shit. |
Really?
|
I prefer Physical Graffiti, I, III & Houses Of the Holy to IV, but it is still one that everyone should have.
The ones you can do without are II (although it ends with Bring It On Home which is a great one), In Through the Out Door, Presence & Coda. |
Don't listen to Atari.
In throught the out door is their greatest album. |
fuck it if you dont have any.. so what? if you were going to get into them then get some, because your a music fan doesnt mean you have to have Led Zeppelin CD's in your collection... i dont have any Grateful Dead.. have loads of Carpenters though.
|
In the Evening & Fool in the Rain are great songs. In Through the Out Door is still not their best by any means.

Congratulations on being completely wrong. You're good at it. Led Zeppelin I and Houses of the Holy are my favorites. |

One of my most hated songs of all time ("You Shook Me") is on this album. I do like some Led Zeppelin tunes, but Robert Plant is a total chooch, and pretty much ruins the whole band for me most of the time. |
I'd get Led Zeppelin III.

your time is gonna come segueing into that sytar piece (sytar? is that the spelling?) is specfuckingtacular. about plant i do like him, chooch or no chooch. a lot of these are classic blues tunes rocked out but in the best possible way. choochs aside, jimmy page was a fucking god. yes this is such a 70's cliche perhaps days but im not saying it in a redneck way. ha ha. |
I recommend I-III, Zoso is not really my cup of tea.
Well, I'll just go ahead & offer it.. I have an LP upped on YSI right now that is strictly BBC recordings from 1969-1971. If you would like I could give the link. |
!@#$%!:
You can even forgive the vocal "do what page does on guitar noodling by making screechy bird noises in the post-noodle pauses?" Can you actually forgive that? I mean, Jimmy Page's Davey Graham- influenced open tuning solo pieces in the early concerts cannot be denied, but Plant? Fuck a Robert Plant, seriously. (I also do not much like when electricity is added to blues, for what it's worth) I will say that the early concert footage on the recent double DVD set is pretty fucking amazing though. |
i dont know so much about music man, i swear. im a book geek but with music i only trust my ears/feelings. which are quite sophisticated in my own self-important opinion (ha ha) but they are still ignorant. i dont know shit about anything else. i love that fucking record. maybe i should be shot on the side of the head for it but i love it, ha ha.
agh i gotta go to a meeting. just when i was beginning to enjoy the slack. |
Do you know much about homos and butt rules then?
|

it's spelt sitar. close, but no cigar, my man. i also have no zeppelin. i don't care to really.. i like 'em and all...just nothing i feel i want/need to get. |
everyone here is crazy and ignorant. if you really want to check out led zeppelin get II, II!!!
i mean come on!!! heartbreaker? moby dick? the lemon song? thank you? bring it on home? fuck, the whole album is awesome!!!! i have friends who swear by IV, personally, i'm burned out on it, i don't need to hear rock n' roll or black dog for a long time (and don't get me started on stairway to heaven!). the battle of evermore, however, is one of the best songs ever written and performed, not only sandy denny sings on that song, but it spawned black metal and it's a fucking acoustic guitar song. i get a little sick of zeppelin every once in a while, but my favorite is II. |
I decided I don't want to check em out anymore, but thanks for the advice.
There's so much other stuff to check out, why would I consider these hippy wankers? |

Because they are good hippy wankers. |
