Pookie's 2000th Post.

Who is the best children's author (pre-school).

Sorry if this is a bit specialised, it's sonicl's fault.

Poll to follow.

Hip Priest 08.22.2006 08:45 AM

Let me be the first to offer my congratulations, Pookie. Looking forward to the next 2,000.

Waiting for the poll...

As you can probably guess, this poll is based on the books I have to read night after night.

I meant to use the 10th option for 'other' but I forgot.

porkmarras 08.22.2006 08:57 AM

How are you celebrating Spookie?

The Mr Fussy is good, because Mr Messy (or something) comes to stay, and the picture of him 'sitting' in Fussy's chair, all out of place, is priceless.

I tried but she doesn't like them!

My favourites are ones that are good to read out loud, and that applies to all the ones I listed apart from Charlie & Lola, which is rubbish. I just included Lauren Child because she's one of the most popular children's writers at the moment.

Dr. Seuss is the best to read aloud. Try it.

I agree totally about Dr Seuss. It's fun for the reader as well as the er... readee(?).

Danny Himself 08.22.2006 10:09 AM

Meg and Mog. Hahaha. I picked Seuss though.

Pookie 08.22.2006 02:54 PM

Yes, I post from work. I'm at home every Wednesday, so tomorrow we're going for a picnic in the park.

Thanks for the tip. I work in a bookshop, but I'd never heard of Laura Numeroff. I'll have to check them out.
