The Boondock Saints
 

Have any of you seen the movie "the Boondock Saints", I saw it today, and I thought it was pretty good.

What do you think?

wait...that's giving it too much credit...

this is the kind of movie that amps up rednecks

it's still enjoyable though

especially the opening scene with the toilet falling out the window & all

Yeah, it's kinda stupid, but I had a good time watching it. The toilet-scene is sick, and that crazed FBI-guy is funny.

I only have it because Willem Dafoe is in it. I wasn't that impressed with the movie itself, but yeah, I will pretty much watch and purchase any Willem Dafoe movie as long as it's not Speed 2. I've wasted a lot of money doing this and I would discourage other people from repeating my mistakes.

Saw this for the first time yesterday, It's quite good. Pity it didn't have much of a theatrical release

i thought it was awful....honestly, im usually the optimistic one too...

it's not as good people would have you think, but it's still funny.

also, i just saw chinatown for the first time the other day. another film i thought was really cool and funny but not .. i mean, it's # 48 on imdb for christ sakes. it's not THAT good.

I thought it was ok. I have no idea why people love it so much. I don't know what the deal is, but basically everyone at my college obsesses over it and I can't for the life of me figure out why.

I'm with you on this one. It raises some interesting ethical questions, that much can not be denied, and Willem Defoe's performance is quite entertaining. Its depictions of violence toe the line quite well between discomfort and absurdity, at least for me, though I suppose that would depend on how desensitized each individual viewer is to violence itself. It's worth watching, certainly, but I'm not about to go out and buy the special collector's edition.
