I don't really want to take out anyone already here, I just wish folks would embrace the Zero Population Growth idea....

If we as a species just started reproducing ourselves....1 to 1....2 per couple and THAT'S IT....then it'll STILL take over 50 years to have our world population start to level off.

If you look at our growth....the line was fairly level up to about 200 hundred years ago....then with medical advances and 'creature comforts'...the 'level horizontal' line has become so steep as to be vertical. We are out of control. Even the countries who's population growth rate is less than 2...aren't keeping the rest of the world from overexploitation of reproduction.

...and it reallys gets my gaul...but when people say...'There's nothing we can do about it'....BULLSHIT !! We can't stop tornados, hurricanes, many natural disasters...but WE CAN stiffle our ridiculous over-reproduction....!!!!

to be honest, i dont give a damn about over population.
i do my part by donating and what not.
my parents have adopted (or send money to) a couple of kids in africa and south america.
theres nothing i can do, so i just try not to worry about it.

hell yeah, half the world doesn't deserve to be alive. not because overpopulation, there's a lot of vermin among humanity that deserve to be wiped out.

I'd like to deal with criminals, certainly. But I don't really believe that the planet is overpopulated as such.
