AMC mortgage company sucks!
 

For all grown-ups or soon to be grown-ups who might ever consider buying a house, DO NOT do business with these assholes. Go with your local bank or credit union, please. My wife and I have done everything right with our credit, including paying ahead on our mortgage, and in just the 12 months that we've had our house loan with AMC, they've tried everything to screw us out of extra money, including misapplying our payments, charging bogus fees, and, now the latest--

--Last week, we refinanced with our local bank, who gave us a much better deal. But today I got a call from AMC telling me they know nothing about the refinancing and how would I like to set up our September payment. I tried to explain they no longer carry our mortgage, and they wouldn't believe me.

They are the most unscrupulous, crooked, worthless mortgage company I have ever dealt with in my 30 years of owning houses.

That sucks gmku I hate it when companies try to screw over people, from what few they have.

I've dealt with maybe a dozen mortgage banks in all my years of owning homes. I've never, ever had the problems I've had with AMC. They are a terrible company.
