Would you give up one of your passions to pursue another?
I thought about this a bit lately.
I have two "main passions". To get more serious with both of them I'd need to invest some money. I don't have much money to invest. Should I focus on ONE of them and "do things properly" or just go on sharing the tesoretto between the two and see what happens? hahahahhaha this is a reward for you for opening this thread and blinking at least thrice |
just follow yr heart. If you feel pulled by both, then you need both.
|
Just to make things clearer, I'm not talking about weed and booze, eh.
haha nef reward part 2 noisereduccccccctions, that' the "problem", I feel like I "need" both, but one could result in some moneymaking, the other one couldn't, that's also part of the equation (forgot to mention this before). |
oh I figured both could result in $$.
well do you need $? If so, then maybe time to prioriize. AKA, the passion that earns loot could be top priority (yr job) and the other one could be yr hobby. |
for the record: EVERYBODY should quit dubstep.
nicololulz, stop being a pussy. man-up and do both. |
pursue #1 first, make money, feed #2?
don't give up on the things that make you tick but sometimes you need to prioritize your focus to see real results that kalimba sounds fucking amazing. |
I'm going to go with both as well. Depending on the passion, obviously. But then I'm not in the position of having any actual money coming in from anything I do (or rather, the mild inability to find ways of making money from stuff). Still. Soon enough I'll run the world. Me and crypto-fascist Beyoncé.

dubstep has become the #1 requested fratboy partyrock simply because it's fun to say. it's also the easiest way to clear a dancefloor of all but "that one guy" who is wearing a bunny suit and obviously kissing the sky (not that there's anything wrong with those things individually). everyone else just nods their heads fiercely.
"pardon me, but my friends and I were wondering....could you play some DUbSTEP??". no. I can't. die in a fire. |
nic; for fucks sake, stop making dubstep.
|
I never got into dubstep. It always seemed like a deviation of drum and bass. And I don't like drum and bass.

except, drum and bass can be good. I like dubstep, not in the sense that I'd ever pay for any or call myself a fan, more in the sense that I love the disorienting backdrop of noise it provides a couple times a year. |
I would in exchange for something that might interest me more. Sometimes it's good to give up on old things in order to discover something new. Too many people miss out on too many great things just by simply not giving something else a chance. It's OK, I think, to take risks. Old passions can always be returned to.

Would you give up taco bell to pursue real mexican food?
|
