I voted Elton John but i was gonna go for Paul Weller as they both have a few songs that i like.

George Michael, though I have been known to sing, "She's just a Devil woman/ With evil on her mind..." from time to time.

sting was ok with the police then he went preachy.

so i voted sting anyway. though steward copeland was the real genius in the band.

I find it impossible to judge Elton John objectively. Let me tell you why...

...One morning, many summers ago, I left the house as usual to catch the bus to school (I was in middle school at the time, back in the days when, although they were dying, such things were still around). On the way to the bus stop I started to feel quite ill as headache and sickly feelings overtook me. I sat on my own at the bus stop for about half an hour, until I had the strength to walk home. I slowly made my way back and, as I got through the door, Elton John and Kiki Dee's famous pile of nonsense was playing on the radio. So I'm afraid, from that day onwards, I've associated Elton John with a feeling of nausea.

I've never been all that keen on The Police (although they were OK). Sting's done some really good stuff since though, some excellent songs.

their punk days were not too shabby. did you ever see them in that movie "urgh!"?

Yeah. I mean, I think The Police were pretty good, but I just feel that since their demise, Sting has written some far superior songs: Shadows in the Rain, Seven Days, If I Ever Losr My Faith In You, Fields of Gold and so on.

Apart from Sting, I like a few of Paul Weller's songs and there's a very old Cliff Richard song that I really like, but I don't know its name.

I do like that Cocaine song by Mr. Clapton, but that is about the extent of it.

I was going to add Rod Stewart to the list, but I'm not too sure if he's done anything in recent years.

It's got to be Devil Woman or Wired for Sound. There's not much choice otherwise.
