Anyone see Steve Colbert make fun of John Zorn last night?
 

I laughed my ass off.

For those of you who didn't see it, Steven Colbert was complaining that he didn't get a genius grant this year. He read over the list and John Zorn came up. He then played a clip of John Zorn's screeching saxophones. So then he started playing sax really shitty while kareem abdul jabbar I believe played really shitty upright bass and he asked for his genius grant.

funny, zorn is actually quite skilled when compared to some hardcore free jazzers

i'm sure colbert wasn't being serious, though.

it's not just among free jazzers, he's a skilled composer as well.

Oh, of course he wasn't serious, but it was still funny.
