A reading of Allen Ginsberg’s work across his life, in part to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the publication of Howl, in part to celebrate the publication of Bill Morgan’s new biography I Celebrate Myself: The Somewhat Private Life of Allen Ginsberg, and, largely, to hear the work. Readers and performers will include Ed Sanders, Anne Waldman, Edwin Torres, Lee Ranaldo, Simon Pettet, Eileen Myles, Steven Taylor, Bill Morgan and more.

Why does SY, especially Lee, celebrate things/people who aren't nearly as good as them, including Bob. *I don't know*

what's so inferior about allen ginsberg?

i always wondered the fasicnation of lee and ginsberg. i dont see whats special about him. although im sure ive intrests that others may think suck so who are we to judge...........

S: Did you have much contact with members of the original Beats (Ginsberg, Burroughs, etc.)?

L: I had the preveledge of becoming quite friendly w Allen for the last 6 years or so, and visited WSB twice at his home in Lawrence.

There's a new Allen Ginsberg DVD coming out next week. Patti Smith is in it. I've pre-ordered my copy already.
