have you heard that joe lally record?
|
No, just saw it listed at secondlayer.co.uk.

cheers L

I'm on the fence about the Evens. Too laid back. Where's the sound and fury of Fugazi, man?
|
yeah, really looking forward for both, i thought the evens would suck but i really dig them and that joe lally album is all fucking star.
did you know the new evens albums was recorded on the basement of dischord house where minor threat used to rehearse? |

why search for the same things in an evidently different band with totally different set up? |
^True. I just miss Fugazi. I guess the Evens doesn't speak to me yet.
|
yeah,i understood.that's why i said "stupid question" and not "you are stupid" ;)
|
I know. And believe me, I'm not afraid to ask stupid questions.
|
I didn't like the first Evens record. It was like a really weak version of the Argument to me. When I first saw them i liked all the songs, but when I listened to the record, the songs sort of grew off as opposed to grew on.
I really want Guy to start a new band. He's the man you know. |
Actually I like the Evens Record more, than any other Fugazi albums I heard. From what I have heard from Fugazi, I think you can't really compare them, though.

i miss minor threat and they are never getting back together, and i'm still waiting for fugazi to speak to me the same way minor threat does but it's never going to happen. |
yeah anyone have any news about Guy? ANybody run a fanzine? because if you do you should set up an interview.

I'm the other way around. |

guy is producing, brendan is also producing but still plays drums. |
Some guy posted a whole Rites of Spring show on youtube, as well as a video of Happy Go Licky live. I hope he posts more Happy Go Licky live stuff.
|
i'm so going on youtube soon!!
|
New Evens, I'll have to check that out. I liked the first one a lot.
Fugazi really need to get together and record again. |
I thought the first Evens record was pretty good even though at times I thought I was listening to the same song over and over. I'm pretty pumped to hear both.....especially to hear what Joe has up his sleeve.
