Are we becoming healthier...
|
i think we are to a certain extent becoming healthier yes. when i see the food my parents or grandparents ate it seems to be bacon fat fried in lard. i suppose the thing now is that we have more options than they did and for the first time ever places like mcdonalds are making a loss as it seems that people are finaly realising that junk food is bad for you. that said every time i have been to america it seems that there is very little choice when it comes to healthy eating. and being vegetarian, jeez forget it!

I'm trying to be healthier. Don't know that anyone else is.
"Fast Food Nation" sure sold a lot of copies, though. |
I'd say that the general public is more aware of healthier eating than ever before. It doesn't mean that they're changing their habits though.

There have been talks about healthy eating in schools (and you know, they've began making the school lunchs healthy and more proportional).
Something like this would never happen, but we are becoming healthier in a sense. |
Yeah, but not entirely, see it doesn't matter if you eat meat or whatever, just as long as you do proportions, and stuff.

McDonalds salads come with sugar coated walnuts. Getting people to eat healthy is like getting a dog to eat medicine you stick in a piece of cheese or cover it in peanut butter. Here ya go boy! You did the right and got our fruit salad! Now have some candy!
