One of the few things more irritating than people spelling you're 'your', their 'there', they're 'their' or it is 'its' is people who complain about it on the internet.

Although I get more annoyed by people who are being pathologically lazy than I do ocassional (forgivable) typos. Oftentimes people want to write proper like but 'aven't never been told them rules, innit?

Gulasch Noir 10.14.2006 08:23 AM

I always try to write properly.

Yeh. I here you. Them rules be important n stuff.

I couldn't care either way. I find it funny when someone relies on grammar for an insult but is far from perfect themselves. They'll have a go at your spelling but spell something incorrect in their post. It's a barrel scraping insult. And the people who are anal about it all (ie Glice) must sure live easy lives if that's the worst of their worries.

i aint care one bit. it's all aboat content. but i dont really care much about that either. whats really important is how many BIG words you use.

Correct grammar, spelling and punctuation make things easier to read.

If you're reading a novel. But this is a messageboard, and no one on this board has particularly bad grammar, spelling, or punctuation anyway. So it's not an effort to read posts. It's more of an effort to skip the shit posts by people complaining about someones spelling or whatever.

I don't particularly care about people's grammar, punctuation and spelling here, I'm just saying that in any situation writing properly makes things easier to read.

And there are countless people on this board who don't know how to write, but they tend to be the ones whose posts I skim past anyway.
