Sad news for space/psych fans
If any of you are fans of the great psych and drone works of the talented Jason DiEmilio (of The Azusa Plane and Spires Of Oxford), you will be saddened as I am to hear that he has apparently taken his own life, distraught over a number of medical issues, including hearing issues that greatly impacted his ability to listen to and enjoy music.
He was a labelmate of mine and I only met him once briefly (following a stellar set at Terrastock 1), but his music is special to me and I am very sad to hear this news. He released many 45s on his own Colorful Clouds For Acoustics imprint, and his death is sad to hear of. |
what a tragedy, my best goes out to him.

i can't say i know him or his music but seems to be a gifted musician, the fact that sc is affected by his passing speaks volumes of his work.

Haven't heard his music either but still sad to hear

It seems a bit of a weak thing to say, but: very sad

36 yrs old heh? That's young.

sounds like he was suffering greatly at the end. Its really too bad.
I was just looking at all the 7"ers I have of the AP. What a horror, where listening to music causes too much pain to be able to listen. |
That's sad.I'll play some Azusa Plane tonight.

tragic
