Favorite Bardo Pond Album

I used to like Lapsed the most but now after listening to Amanita everyday I think it's impossible to beat.

how about least favorite? for me it's dilate.

as for favorite, right now and for the past months since i bought it, ticket crystals.

Currently the recent one from Archive Recordings.

Amanita and Lapsed are my favorites.

I think Dilate is actually on of the best of the recent crop.

My least favorites are Big Laughing Jym and Set And Setting, but I still like those quite a bit.

Where's the poll?

Amanita, anyway. I can't stand Lapsed, on the other hand, especially the song "Flux"

Anyone know how their name originated. I know Bardo is the realm of existence between death and reincarnation. According to Buddhist monks, its as far as one can venture and still come back. I believe I've been there but that's another story.

It was made up by Clint Takeda, who is "good at combining things," according to one of the Gibbons bros an old interview. Apparently just a good sounding combination of words.

they're all damned good

Amanita is just about perfect, isn't it? but the band doesn't really sound like that really anymore. They got a lot heavier & denser!

they're all pretty damned good...the collab with Tom Carter is pretty damned good...I think I reach for the 2nd Hash Jar Tempo these days if not some live set...just heard a test pressing of the upcoming MG500 LP, its gonna slay y'all..there have been like 10 releases this year, I haven't been able to keep up with them all.

New Yorkers should head to Tonic Sat Nov 11, Gibbons Bros project whose name I can never remember is there (plus Crude and some others). Thats a tough night to chooce suz Test Trio play (no bass w/Heyner in Seattle w/NNCK).
