Creedence Clearwater Revival: albums...
The classic studio LP's, even though 'Mardi Gras' was, erm, not so good.
|
Green River, bitches.
|
Cosmo's Factory, for me.
|
All of their first 5 or so albums all sort of run together for me.

Yeah, I can see that. I was thinking as I did the poll, that MArdi Gras gets all the criticism, but Pendulum was below the standard of the first five too, in my opinion. Songs like Green River, Ramble Tamble and Lookin Out MY BAck Door make me smile. |
I haven't heard any of them.

Feel free to vote for your favourite title! |
No votes for Bayou Country yet, & that's a shame because either that one or Pendulum is the best. Cosmo's Factory I suppose after that...
I voted for Pendulum, but wish I had noticed that Bayou Country had no votes before I voted. |

Willy & The Poor Boys it is! I love the name Willy! |
Cosmo's

Hehe. Willy.
I should buy some really. I'm going to buy the album that wins this poll in fact. Which is not necessarily going to be the best, as I just voted entirely arbitrarily. |
i haven;t heard any of them, but I wanna. I found an LP of bayou country today, how's that one?
|
i've got the greatest hits one. i need to get some of these
|
i didnt vote but it says that i did!
cheated! bayou country. |
The first LP is good but not great. The next four are four of my favourite LP's EVER. Then Pendulum was a rapid decline & Mardi Gras!!! John Fogerty shouldn't have allowed the other members to write songs, although having said that, the songs HE wrote on the last record were fantastic. I also loved his first solo LP (not including Blue Ridge Rangers which was a solo LP but under the name BRR).
Anyway, WATPB for me (a random selection from the best four). |

Perhaps you voted when I forst put the poll up (10thApril)? |
(must've missed this)
I really like CCR. Green River is what I went for, though the only album I really play by them is Chronicles, since it's so comprehensive. |
Pagan Baby is their most rockin' song.
It's Just a Thought is gorgeous. Pendulum is not a decline, but rather a profound maturation. Of course, their 11-minute cover of Gaye's Heard it Through the Grapevine on Cosmo's Factory has that nice extended bridge & the album is widely condisered to be their best, but I really think both Pendulum & Bayou Country are even better. Did you get it, hey alex? Or did you buy some "indie cred" nonsense instead in the interim? |
