On November 22nd the film "Elegy from the Hearts" by Belgian filmmaker Jef Mertens will make its Asian debut. The screening will take place at the Third Ear complex in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

And it goes without saying that I also applaud Jef.

just only wish this will at some stage make to a dvd release.

I think we should all try to have it screened at various independent-ish cinemas near us. I know the FACT cinema in Liverpool would screen it, probably.

I think that's a great idea! Although I think FACT is looking for work that is more innovative within the field of film, video and new media. Mine isn't innovative at all. According to Moshe Third Ear has a program consisting of SY material (such as year punk broke I believe) which makes the setting more fitting.

But I am certainly interested in ideas by board members for screenings in their area. Let's just see what the screening in Tel-aviv will be first.
