Do you have a pension?
Sorry to get all 'heavy', was just wondering if anyone out there is preparing for the future.
Now I have just reached 30, I seem to wake more and more frequently in the middle of the night with things like pesions, mortgages, kids, swimming around my head in a terrifying muddle! |
Pensions is what I do for a living, so, yes, I have one. The payments are taken direct from my salary each month, so I don't even notice that they've gone.
An aside - You really should be careful about allowing kids to swim around your head in a terrifying muddle. It can be very dangerous for all concerned. |
whats a pension?
oohhh nevermind.... no i dont work at all |
i had to pay for university and take out loans, pay ever increasing council tax, rent, cant afford to get on the property ladder because the housing marjet is ridiculous. no way can i afford a pension as well.

I'm planning on committing suicide when I get to the retirement age...I think the government will have scrapped the UK pension by this time, leaving me with sweet fuck all. My life plan is to do what the fuck I want now, then just accept that life for me will end when I'm 65...simple.

yeah, its a special fund called social security. They sent me a letter to tell me if I keep earning this salalry when I retire at age whatever I'll get like $1400 a month. I figure then I'll move back to Brooks House iN Brattleboro and wait until I get my turn at the immortality serum. Amazingly, my company puts an amount = to about 8% of my salary in a fund, but I refuse to put any money of my own in, for one thing, can't afford it, and second, there's no guarantee it won't all go down the tubes. Anyway, its a better investment to buy Double Leopards vinyl then stocks. I'm part of a buyers group of doctors and lawyers we pool our money and buy TimeLag vinyl.
Ok I made that up. |
