hometown, three gigs (the thermals, mono, magik markers), enough time and money just for one, so i need a second opinion, yours...

i would go for mono, but thats just my decision.
who is more likely to play again in the near future? who are you digging the most at the moment? which is more convenient? who are you most interested in seeing live (as opposed to hearing their records)? what kind of reviews have their tours been getting?

Like Lucy, I'd say go and see Mono. That's both my opinion on who I would go and see, AND my opinion based on having looked at some of your past posts.

But, beautiful as their music is, they don't "rock". If you want a band that "rocks", then Magik Markers may be better for you.

magik markers or mono. dont like the thermals myself. mono are supposed to be hit and miss live so id go for mm who are gonna be unique regardless.........

MM are the very definition of "hit and miss" in a live setting.

magik markers for sure. miss it miss out.

mono delivered a GREAT show every single time i saw them, never seen MM or the thermals live, so my suggestion is a bit useless, probably, but i'd go for mono. Bloody hell, show those world touring japanese people some love!

magic markers are definetly hit and miss live and you will no doubt get a million more chances to see them.
with mono, you know what youre getting, which for me is not very exciting. if yv never seen mono live before.....go to that one. if you have, consider another band.
and who said mono dont rock? they fucking rock like fuck! beautiful for a while and then they get fast and loud and i think i almost fell over from the sheer force the first time i saw them.
