im considering selling my ds1 and with the money i save that i get a pro co turbo rat.

ive seen thurston use it yesterday just to beef up his tone a little bit not high gain or anything.

but how is it at high gains and noise?

i don't own one, the bm and my amp's drive channels are the only distortions i use right now but i kind of like the rat2...

sounds like all of these sound clips were done by metalheads using ibanez's and active humbuckers.

i noticed that it gives kinda metalish melvins sound that i dislike.

okay, which is more of a dirty wall of fuzz motherfucker the rat2 or the turbo rat?

i´ve had the Rat and the Rat2,
i use the rat 2 for a little bit of distortion which works and sounds quite nice. In combination with the Big Muff i cranck it up to get this huge distortion wall, kinda bardo-pondish if you know what i mean.

i played a turbo rat once....... very nice too,
but i couldn´t and still can´t afford it.
