I don't understand wht Text of Light use the same logo as PIL. and why they have the same metal case thing. why

It's called homage/tribute.

in the same way that the rapture formed in homage to the cure and p.i.l.

pil did the metal box packaging because they thought of their music to have more in common with film than rock (they counted jeanette lee, their videographer, as a group member in the liner notes).

text of light improvise music to the films of stan brakhage, connecting music to film. they pay homage to pil too, of course.

This sort of thing can be done very well(as in the case of Text Of Light) if the musicians paying homage are worthy of homage themselves.Anyway,been listening to PIL a great deal recently.
