CDJapan is listing Rather Ripped as "Japan edition bonus tracks expected." And it comes out one week before the U.S. version as usual. Here's a link.

damn, why the fuck do the japanese versions always get more tracks ?

i've read about it before. it's because cds are more expensive there and the japanese expect more from albums than americans

I think I'm going to get this one instead to have all of the tracks.

yeah but doesnt the japanese version usually leave off the uk/european bonus tracks.. eg... sonicnurse had kim chords on the uk release and beautiful plateau on the jap release.........

The Sonic Nurse Jap had both Beautiful Plateau and Kim Chords. I have it! I always pre-order the Japanese version just to make sure I have it all and also because that annoying anti-piracy stamp isn't on it. The artwork is full and complete!

Usually the Japanese version is all you can get in one package but not 100% of the time. Plus they get it one week earlier so I'll have it by the 10th. Air mail from there is pretty quick.

If you don't like the anti-piracy thing for the reissues (if you have them) take of the CD plate of the whitey album and the EP and psychic hearts. I am thinking SY will do this for Rather Ripped too.

Anti-piracy? Do you mean you have the FBI Anti-Piracy logo on every CD in the USA? That's sucks! When I saw this logo on my imported version of the Raveonettes' album I thought it was only on this disc :o

And we don't act like our bands are greater then any god man has ever prayed to like the Japanese do, have you seen how thier audiences are like towards ANY band or singer(American included) playing a concert over there?! They go nutz! (And yes the "z" is intentional)

Hey Concrete, where did you order your Japanese edition from? I think I'll get the Japan one to.

How are the tracks on the Nurse Japanese edition...I've been debating whether or not to order it for a while now. Two tracks and the novelty aren't really worth $30+ to a poor college student, but I'm not very bright. Plus my copy of Nurse is fairly worn out.

I always order from CDJapan! www.cdjapan.co.jp or just use the link in the first posting I have at the top. Just be sure you choose EMS for shipping. It's the fastest and absolutely the most reliable. The only thing with EMS though is that you have to be home to sign for it. Otherwise you'll have to go to the post office to pick it up if you miss the delivery.

Never a problem with CDJapan.

Kim Chords and Beautiful Plateau are skippable. Just instrumentals that lilt and sway a bit. Nothing earth shattering. I THINK they're both on I-Tunes if you wanna just grab those two tracks that way.
