Sonic Youth Tour Dates
 

Now I know it's still pretty early, and I might be a little impatient in my assumptions, but am I to believe that Sonic Youth are only planning on playing just 16 dates to support the release of Rather Ripped? I'm probably just way ahead of myself as usual, but I heard that they were plannign on touring w/ Flaming Lips for a few shows. And I really want to see that. That's just one of those experiences that you can't miss out on. I'd probably shoot myself in the foot if I missed out on that. Can anyone confirm that I am just being paranoid and that the band are just trying to line up more dates for their tour?

I'm worried about the same thing.
Fortunately, I bought tickets to see SY and the Lips in Cuyahoga (Cleveland) in August at a festival.
Hopefully there's a more expansive tour in the works though.
Just Sonic Youth, another band or two, and a smallish club...

I'm in the class of '04. That was a great tour. The Orange Peel Show was amazing. If Bonnaroo doesn't work out, then I'll definetly be at the june 17th show in Asheville.

Hey does anyone have any info on the Starlight Ballroom in Philly? Is it a good venue? General admission? Do they have an offical website? I saw them at the Troc a few years back and I might venture up for this one. Thanks.

I really hope they do something with the lips and come to california with them. I don't want to spend my money on SY and PJ if I can see SY and FL. I don't have the money to spend on both.

I'd def. wait until they come to So. Cal. on their own tour if you are choosing between the two.
