Rob Instigator 01.11.2007 05:30 PM

writer/philosopher/scientist co-cretor of the Church of Discordia
co-writer of the Prinicipia Discordia
http://www.discordia.ch/principia/

writer of some of my all time favorite mindfuck novels
Illuminatus Trilogy

is my favorite

he also wrote for playboy and many many non-fiction books

he was an anarchic genius, unafraid to explore the furthest reaches of the mind. great friend of Leary. Brit.

!@#$%! 01.11.2007 06:22 PM

that's in a way good news. i was afraid he would run out of money again & die broke. at least he went out in relative comfort?

a sad thing but anyway everyone dies. i had just ordered one of his books the other day, it will be waiting for me to pick it up when i get home. it will be a bit strange.

Bastian 01.11.2007 08:11 PM

He's not dead. That's just what THEY want you to believe!

Kallisti23chaos 01.12.2007 12:29 AM

The Illuminatus Trilogy is my favorite of the Trilogy.

Robert Anton Wilson was great. It's too bad he didn't beat Arnold for governor of California.

ewige blumenkraft

Masks of the Illuminati was the first I read. I bought it not having heard anything about him. It was a very good random buy.

Dead-Air 01.12.2007 02:09 AM

Damn, it looked for a short bit like he was in recovery. He blogged right up to the end, which is good that he was able to do. A shame he didn't get to live more in this century as in a lot of ways he seems better suited for it than the twentieth.

Florya 01.12.2007 08:21 AM

Seeya later Bob.
Say hi to Eris for me.

It's a crying shame when a genius like Robert Anton Wilson is forced to more or less beg his friends and supporters for rent money whilst suffering from a terminal illness.

I hope he died in comfort and surrounded by friends.
