i love it, please tell sounds niiiiiiice.

Pretty crazy stuff
|
its pretty intense stuff but the songs don't sound all that diffrent from each other, like they would flow together as one track.
|
Can't say I am a fan. Pretty intresting stuff though.

Scissor Shock = Good/God
I'm a huge fan. Super Yum Surgeon Boy is one of my favorite albums ever. |
|
I still need to post that interview on my webpage actually. So, I'm reminding myself by bumping this.
|
When I was a DJ there was this really cool DJ that would tell me what noise/experimental shit was good. He needs to listen to Scissor Shock.
I dig the free album. :D I'm listening to it right now, about half an hour after I took some benadryl because I can't sleep. It is taking my mind to some interesting places. |
Haha.
Thanks, um, we should work together when I start recording again (I'm taking a break for 6 months to devote time to my other band, Robe -- http://www.myspace.com/robedot -- then, over the summer, I record exclusively for Scissor shock, etc.).. I'm going to do a split with giggle the ozone (he's covering Van Halen and Enya and doing an original song; I'm covering "ghost, the host, the most holy-o" by Beefheart and "Ether" by Gang of Four -- and an original song), then working on the next album "BLOOD INFINITIVE"... then, I'm going to start doing splits/collabs with as many artists as I can... Yay! |
its good, i actually checked it out a while back tho. have you guys been approached by any labels yet?
and a little myspace page advice, itstead of listing every artist you listen too, just list a few that have the most profund influence on your music. my last band, we just listed about 9 bands/artists we dug, and instantly we got a whole ton of like-minded musicians and music fans interested in our shit, and we never even made it out of the garage! its a minute thing i know, but it really does work. |
Haha, approached by labels? We've had stuff on Crucial Blast, Excitebiketapes, JKTapes, Brokecore, xdiedenroutey, Soundo Mayo Records, Kiddieriot [soon!], Tin Cans and Twine Records, and various others. Unless you mean HUGE labels.. I sent a demo to Tzadik once. Maybe I should try again...
Also, I list all those bands as a list of stuff I like and.. it's actually really honest, you know? It's an extension of my brain, that whole project, so.. I dunno, I try to make it comprehensive, I guess. It annoys people, which is funny to me. The point of scissor shock is to be a little... absurd. Haha. |
how long have you played under that moniker? you recording for al those labels makes me worried that i really gotta get my music career going.
