Biggie is the shit. Did you see Notorious? It was really good.
it's also hilarious to me that a "non-rap fan" would know who 8Ball & MJG are. Haha. So yeah I'd say yr not ingnorant to it.

I haven't heard that album, but will def. be checking it out at yr suggestion.
+ I enjoyed Notorious. Even owned it for a minute.
The city I grew up in from 7th grade until I graduated, was some 60 something percent black. The Middle School was something like 78 percent black. I was pretty much (lame, I know...this was the 90's) the only kid there wearing Nirvana tees + ripped jeans, sans one or two other kids that were more into shit like AC/DC. By the time I got into HS (this school was merged w/ another nearby city in the same county) the racial percentages evened out a bit...but it was still VERY hip hop/rap (theres a difference between the two in my mind) driven. Maybe 10 punk/weirdo kids in the whole place.
That city...Fort Valley, GA...well, it's one of the most awful places on earth. Not because of hip hop, but between old white money, and poor black people...racial issues existed abound. If yr ever in that general area drive AROUND that place.
