I can understand why some people are excited about hip hop. I also like the attitude in some HipHop songs. And I have heard some Eminem songs that have been quite good.
But somehow I donīt find HipHop the elements, that make music important to me. Because in HipHop there is no singing, itīs talking, I feel that there is also not that much expression in it. Only "talking singing" that catches me is on the early Red Hot Chili Peppers records. Also background is in many HipHop songs a borrowed loop, that go on again and again. I feel that there is not so much creativity in HipHop as there is in other music genres. I need music, that take me somewhere else. I feel HipHop elements are there, what is happening right now. I think the lyrics are much more important in HipHop than music and to me the music has always been important than music. I havenīt got acquinted in HipHop, I have only heard some songs from the radio and from my friends, so there is not much value about my opinions. But I believe, that even I listen the whole HipHop album, my opinion will not change. Of course you can suggest me some good album.
