add to "countries without dictators" countries without kings and emperors and a titled aristocracy and your research-free pool very suddenly shrinks. i know it's probably not a fair comparison, a 200+ year old modern country with countries that go back over 1000 years in history, but why not? 300 years ago we had monarchies ruling the whole planet.
