Both my best friend, and my girlfriend have both attempted to overdose on pills in the past. I actually had to call the ambulance, and ride with my gf to the hospital. Shit sucks.
I honestly don't know what I would do without either of them. I can relate to them both way more than I've ever been able to with anyone else, and consider them family. It would've traumatized me, had either one of them succeeded.
