Reminded me a bit of Warn Defever (anyone remember him etc). I'd say it's a great song, but it's really difficult to get to the song with the production. The hiss is almost at the same level as the backing vocals. What are you recording on?

Sorry I can't be a bit more constructive - I know a lot of people like the lo-fi sound, but I feel that the production/ recording sort of masks the song; you can still keep the intimacy of the tune without necessarily having a million dollar recording, methinks.
