The thing is, I've been a stoner in the past. I think most people have. I've been a lot more besides. In itself, smoking weed doesn't really bother me one way or another. It's potentially harmful, but so are most things, and everyone's aware of that. It's the
zeal of stoners which irritates me. Yes, it's something that probably should be legalised (with an s or a z); no, I don't think it's anywhere near the top of the list of problems in most developed democracies. The main reason for it being legalised, in my view, is that that would take away the money from the incredibly nefarious drugs cartels, but it's this view that's nearly always under-represented by 'stoners'. I remember suchfriends saying he spends a lot of time making sure he's buying home-grown stuff, and that's commendable, but
incredibly rare in stoners, in my experience.
