I agree that Casino is probably Scorsese's last great movie and Goodfella's probably the best he'd made since Raging Bull (although I think After Hours and Last Temptation are both great in their own way). I can't possibly agree that Casino is better than Goodfellas though. In Goodfellas, Scorsese manages to keep everything so tight. It's a huge movie but it feels on about the same scale as Mean Streets - which I think is about the perfect size for Scorsese. Casino just feels bloated to me. I'd have loved to have seen Michael Mann direct it. He's much better working at that scale, I think.
