It's a great movie. While watching it, I think, 'Do people REALLY want Kitano to make films like this, rather than something beautiful and unique and epic like ACHILLES AND THE TORTOISE?' His last few films have been a lot better.. but at the same time, Kitano hasn't made a bad film yet, and he isn't about to start. He's a true artist, incapable of making a bad or unnecessary film. So, the OUTRAGE is an engaging, wonderful film.. it doesn't really break new ground, though there are some interesting shots in it that he hasn't attempted before, and the soundtrack is topnotch. It feels like a much better version of BROTHER.
