Well, giggle the ozone continues to be the most underrated band out there, so them I guess. I mean this guy records these progressive masterpieces in various new york studios, he has some genuinely catchy POP hooks, his compositions are complex as hell but really forward thinking. He brings to mind everyone from Thinking Plague to Henry Cow to Dancing Cigarettes to Beefheart to Enya, with lots of weird synth exploration, clean guitars, space-rock stuff... insane in places but nothing feels like he's just showing off, or just being complex for the hell of it, the songs are just really intelligently written.. I was a fan of his before I became his friend.

Brian Ruryk's "Cycle of Fords" 6 tape set is one of the best albums I've EVER heard. It's all acoustic guitar, nothing else, almost like Bill Orcutt but MORE violent, usually one in each speaker.. trading violent noise licks.. imagine Orcutt meets Bailey meets Gastric Female Reflex but a thousand times more insane and violent. Truly scummy sounding in places, but brilliant.
