That' true in a way, even though I don't associate cool with hipster as such, so someone on here who appear knowledgable and opinionated about music hasn't necessarily got cool taste in music by my own standards. And what to make of people who have what I percieve as hip taste in music (Animal Collective, Best Coast, Crystal Stilts, record of the year kind of stuff) but dress normal?
