I'm vegan and stay away from a lot of the more 'militant' books as everyone is entitled to their own diet. That said, there's still a lot of great books that explore diets in general that promote the vegan lifestyle. Check out "Eating Animais" and "The China Study".

my wife really liked the china study, she is vegan now but i am still just a veggie. tonight we are having baked burrito's. fucking fantastic.
