One point that hasn't been mentioned is the fact that it was their first album with Matador. Perhaps that has something to do with the production and choice of songs. As said individually the songs are strong but as a collection there is no flow no theme. It's like they wanted to take a different piece of every type of music that they have played over the years and put them all in one album.
Most of their previous albums seem to have a theme that all songs on that album stuck to.
